Terms & Conditions

Please note: By hiring with Coastal Dress Hire you are declaring that you accept all of our Terms & Conditions, and therefor are agreeing to abide by our rules and procedures accordingly. Coastal Dress Hire reserves the right to change said terms and conditions at its discretion without notice.

How To Book

To book a garment simply visit our website @coastaldresshireau.org

1. Using our website browse our collection to choose your hire garment

2. Select the garment size, as well as select the dates of your hire using the calendar. The first date you select will be the day your receive the item, with the following date you select being the date you will return your hire. Hire periods are strictly 5 days but extended hire period can be arranged by contacting us.

3. Once you have selected the garment, size, and dates of your hire, you will need to ensure you have read our Terms & Conditions by selecting the tick box above the book now button.

4. You will then be able to press the book now button to add your hire to cart.

5. You cart will lead you through the check out process to assist you to fill out your personal details, select item delivery method, as well as payment method.

6. To secure your garment a full payment needs to be made via our online website. You will receive a confirmation email once your booking is confirmed.

Damages

You are responsible for ALL DAMAGES to garments!

If any damages occur, you’re required to PAY for ALL repairs, alterations, AND any additional cleaning feeds.

These damages can be but are not limited to:

  • Rips/tears
  • Heels marks
  • Stains that take additional cleaning or an extra dry clean
  • These payment/invoices will be sent for authentication.

If there is a hire straight after you and you have damage the dress, you may or may not need to pay for the hire lost and the inconvenience on us and the other client who has lost the ability to wear the dress.

Damages beyond repair-

  • If you have damaged a garment enough that we are not able to do anything to fix, repair or clean it, you must pay the full replacement cost of the garment.

Condition & Care

Please not all garments have previously been worn! We try our best to keep all our pieces in perfect condition. Please be mindful of take tan, perfumes, and make up. We try to ensure any minor flaws are outlines in the description of each garment.

Please let us know of any stains and damages before your return!

Hire Period

Our standard hire period is 5 days including the collection & return day (e.g. receive item on Thursday & return item on Monday). Please note, if an extended hire period is required this can be arranged with notice prior to payment.

Garments are sent out as early as possible, please note this timeframe can vary dependent on the garment and demand.

However please be assured you will have your garment before your event date, as long as you have booked before out postal cut off date. Please note: Any orders made after the postal cut off date (3 business days before the start of your rental date) are at the customer’s own risk. We will do our best to get the garment to arrive on time but we are not responsible if it does not and no refunds or store credits will be provided.

Express postage:

Please be advised that if you have rented a garment via express postage, you will receive a tracking notification via the email provided once the order has been fulfilled. Therefore, it is important to check your emails regularly, including your spam folder.

Your order will come with a spare prepaid express postage satchel that you are able to use to return your order on the agreed date. Please be aware that if a garment is returned late, a late fee of $20 a day will be incurred. To avoid late fees, please ensure you take the parcel into an Australia Post Office to be scanned in correctly and please avoid using Australia Post street box.

Additionally, postage fees are a flat rate of $30. This fee includes the price of 2x express post shipping satchels (1x used for delivery & 1x used for return). Your return satchels will arrive in your garment delivery for you to use to return.

Pick Ups/Drop Offs

For local pick up orders, you will recieve an email to organise a pick up time on the date you selected on your order. Once confirmed you will receive an email or text message the day of your pick up to conform your order is ready for pick up. Orders may be securely left near the front door in garment bags with customers names on them due to try on appointments taking place.

For local drop off returns, customers should ensure garments are returned in the same bags they were picked up in. Customers are able to leave garments either at the front door or on the porch, and should ensure they notify Coastal Dress Hire of the return, either by email or Instagram DM.

Damages

When hiring it is expected that garments will be treated with the utmost care and respect. Any damages that occur whilst the garment is in your profession (including but not limited to stains, rips, pulls, or tears) will be required to be compensated for.

In circumstance where an item is damaged beyond repair, you will be required to pay the full RRP price of the item.

Cleaning

All garments are cleaned between rentals. Cleaning methods are chosen based on the garment’s care label and fabric needs. Customers are not required to attempt to wash or clean ANY garments and are to return garments unwashed. All cleaning fees are included in the hire fee of each garment.

Cancellations

For all cancellations, please email @coastaldresshire.au@gmaill.com. Please provide your order number to request a cancellation.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations:

Within 24 hours of booking- Are eligible for a full refund, minus $5 processing fee. Not valid if the booking is within 7 days of the start of your rental date.

7+ days before your rental start date- Refund, minus a $35 cancellation fee

4-6 days before your rental start date- Store credit (valid for 1 year) minus $35 cancellation fee

3 days or less before rental start date- No refunds or store- credit

Note:

This policy applies to each garment.

Try-on fees are non-refundable.

Refund Policy

Refunds and store credits are not offered in the following circumstances:

- Change of mind: Deciding not to wear the garment or not liking how it looks on after it has been prepared and the service fulfilled.

- Fit or sizing issues: Fit varies from person to person, and may differ in length, proportions, or overall appearance when worn. We do offer try ons but it is the customers responsibility to ensure sizing prior to booking. No refunds or store credits will be given for fit or sizing issues.

- Orders already processed: Once the garment has been packed for postage or collection we are unable to process a cancellation.

-              Normal rental garment wear: Minor flaws or signs of wear that fall within the expected condition of a rental garment.

- Late orders: Bookings places less than 3 working days before the rental start date, or after Wednesday 12pm for a weekend hire, are not offered refunds or store credits. These late orders are places at the customers own risk, and no refund or store credit will be issued if delivery is delayed or unsuccessful.

- Try-ons not available: If we are unable to facilitate a try-on prior to your event date due to existing bookings, you will not receive a refund for sizing, fit, or change of mind issues.

Refunds are only provided where we determine we are at fault. This is assessment at our discretion, and we take integrity and fairness seriously in all cases.

There will be NO CASH REFUNDS

Try Ons

All try ons are booked via Instagram DM @coastal.dresshiree

- Try ons require a $10 DEPOSIT, redeemable on hires booked at appointments. This fee is NON-REFUNDABLE for cancellations and no shows.

- All try ons appointments are strictly 30 minutes long unless discussed with us prior. If you are late, the time is taken off your try on slot.

- Please be mindful of makeup, fake tan, and dirtying/damaging the garment whilst trying on. Please note: Any damages that occurs during a try on appointment will be required to be compensated for. If the item is damaged beyond repair, you will be required to pay the full RRP price of the item.
